Friday Note

Dear Parents,

Parent Drive Day: January 20th will be a parent drive day.

Author Fair: The Author Fair is coming up on January 27th at 6:30 pm. Please make sure students have completed their reports and posters for the fair. If students need posters they can purchase them from the school for $3. Note the time for the Author Fair has been changed from 7 pm to 6:30 pm.

Valentine’s Party: The Valentine’s Day Party is quickly approaching Thursday, February 11th from noon to 3:00 pm. The party committee is Dave and Ruth Schwandt, Martha Schmidt, and Lisa Reyes with Dave and Ruth as committee leaders. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hot Lunch:  Thank you to Lisa Reyes for providing hot lunch today. Kacie Carstensen is scheduled for Friday, January 15th. Here is a list of the next 4 parents signed up for hot lunch the next four Fridays.

CLC Grade School Basketball Tournament: The tournament is scheduled for Thurs. – Sat. March 17th-19th on the campus of Immanuel Lutheran in Eau Claire. We will start practices for the grade school tournament (Grades 5-8) with practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school from 3:00-4:30 pm. Some of those Tuesdays will be scrimmages with Luther Memorial. The round-robin tournaments at Faith are planned for Saturday, January 30th and Saturday, February 27th.

We need to have our roster in by the end of the month so please let me know if you will not be able to play in the tournament in Eau Claire. Students may still play in the round-robin tournaments if they are not able to make the trip to Eau Claire.

Volunteers:  We are looking for volunteers to organize and run the concessions stand at the round-robin tournaments on January 30th and Feb. 27th. We are also looking for referees for the tournament as well. If you are interested in helping out please contact Mr. C.

Open Gym:  Open gyms will continue on Sundays from 6:30-8 pm.
