Call Meeting Results
The voters resolved to call Barry Hay and Marie Muehlenhaupt to serve as teachers in the upper grade for the 2016-2017 school year. It was also approved to add $1000/mo. ($500 per half time teacher) to the salary to compensate for housing/utilities/health insurance.

A reminder that Daylight Saving Time begins next weekend. Don’t forget to set your clocks ahead an hour Saturday night.

∙ Textbook orders are being put together for the 2016-17 school year
∙ The teachers’ aide position is currently vacant due to Abby Quade taking another position. It will remain vacant for the time being as the need is being evaluated.
∙ The 2016-17 school calendar was approved
∙ June 5 was chosen as the date for graduation and the School Picnic

Pastor Luke Bernthal of Grace, Valentine, NE has returned the call to serve Zion of Madison Heights, MI… Pastor Neal Radichel of Luther Memorial, FDL is considering the call to Immanuel, Mankato, MN…. Nathan Wales of Holy Trinity, West Columbia, SC has returned the call to Gethsemane, Spokane, WA. They have now called Sara Pfeiffer of St. Stephen’s, Mountain View, CA… Holy Trinity, West Columbia, SC has called Pastor Matt Hanel of St. Matthew, Dallas, TX…. Pastor Paul Naumann of Ascension, Tacoma, WA is considering the call to serve as a professor at Immanuel Lutheran College.

Mission Helper Trip
Raven Haight has applied and been accepted for this summer’s Mission Helper trip to India. There are significant expenses to this trip, so if you would like to support her in this endeavor you may put funds in the basket in the back of the church. Today is the last day for the basket, but, of course, you may continue to donate to her directly if you wish.

Camp Koyquin 2016
Registration for Camp Koyquin 2016 opens March 18! Camp Koyquin takes place June 19-25 at the “Camp JIM” facilities in Pillager, MN. Camp Koyquin is for CLC members and friends entering grades 5-12 and is a great opportunity for young people to study God’s Word, meet new role models and mentors, and enjoy the blessings of Christian fellowship and fun. Midwest Woman’s Retreat – Immanuel Mankato is again hosting it’s annual Woman’s Retreat on April 8-10, 2016 in Winona, MN. The deadline to register and reserve a room is March 8, 2016. This year’s theme is: “Hush, My dearest child, do not worry!” There is a poster on the bulletin board with details. MID-WEST ‘MAN UP’ WEEKEND
Several congregations in Wisconsin and Minnesota have organized a men’s weekend at the end of August. It is intended to offer strength and encouragement for men 18 and older for their personal faith, family, and fellowship at church. The weekend will include Bible Study, Fellowship, Leadership Training, Team and Relationship Building and Worship, as well as many awesome outdoor activities and great food. The retreat will be held August 26-28, 2016 at scenic Wyalusing State Park near Praire Du Chein, WI about an hour south of LaCrosse. A poster with retreat information will handed out at the CLC grade school tourney for your congregations. The cost is only $75 for the weekend and includes lodging, meals, and activities. Registration deadline is July 1, 2016.
