Outreach Seminar
The following comes from James Arndt of our sister congregation in Hales Corners. I failed to get this in the bulletin in a timely manner, but if you think you may go, please contact Pastor ASAP so we can get them a head count for the pot-luck. Thank you.
Messiah Lutheran Church of Hales Corners, WI will be hosting an Outreach Seminar on Sunday, November 8th from 3:00 – 5:30 p.m. with a potluck to follow. The seminar will be focusing on giving practical advice for navigating conversations on spiritual matters with non-Christians. We may know what we believe, but how do we engage in meaningful dialogue with others? We want to share the Gospel with others, but how do we communicate with wit and wisdom? Join us and find out!
Flooring in Parsonage and Teacherage
In July the voters resolved to replace the boiler in the parsonage, and also replace the flooring on the main floor in the parsonage as well as the kitchen floor in the teacherage. The boiler has been purchased. With the recent resolution of keeping an emergency fund balance of $2500 in the Building Fund, we are lacking around $3000 to fulfill the resolution to replace a certain amount of flooring in the parsonage and teacherage. The voters ask that you prayerfully consider this in your offerings.
Collection for Food Pantry
We will be taking up a collection for the Markesan food pantry through November 15. If you’d like to help out, bring non-perishable food items and leave them on/around the white table in the hallway.
Open Gym
Beginning tonight there will be open gym on Sunday nights from 6:30-8:00. Grades 4 and up are welcome as well as high school and college students and adults.
